The Girl in the Mirror was great. There were definitely plot holes that make the storyline unconvincing at times, and some of the plot lines were just not interesting for me.
However.
I read this book in one day. Because despite the holes, this book sucked me in so badly. The timing of plot twists and discoveries was like a formula for how to write a captivating thriller. The pacing was perfectly executed - slow releases of information and new mysteries, yet quick moving and enticing.
Rose Carlyle’s story was up there with other favorite thrillers including Alex Michaelides’ The Silent Patient, The Last by Hanna Jameson, and The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
I don’t want to spoil the fun - if you are in search of a quick and captivating read, this could be the one for you.
